English Pound Radio has been broadcasting the best in Black Music from the UK and around the world since 2004. Special Mix had a record label and was looking for media outlets to play his songs. He contacted Brixton Hitman who was a radio DJ in California. They became friends and soon decided to open their own radio station, free from red-tape, media politics and restrictions. Allowing them to play what they wanted, how they wanted and had no limits to how many pull ups and rewinds they could do.
Our goal at English Pound Radio (EPR) is to give exposure to any artiste or musician who’s talents are normally ignored by the major commercial radio stations.
For 20 years the EPR family of DJs have grown, with amazing selectors in Black Music. Some have gone to become recording artistes and entrepreneurs and some are still with us many years later, like; Ital K, Dj English and Caz . And we are till growing.

English Pound Radio has interviewed and received jingles from almost every notable veterans and new artistes within the Black Music industry. We have become a staple home for all performers looking for artistic freedom. We have only two rules. 1: Bad Language is not permitted. 2: We do not promote Vulgarity, Hate or Violence.
